Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Description:

Manpower Professional, a leading consulting firm, is currently recruiting for a Senior C# Developer to add their expertise to our client's team. This opportunity will allow the successful applicant to work with a great team and further develop their background and expertise.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate as a member of a software development team to design and develop a large distributed application that is being developed within the .Net framework.
Qualifications
· 8+ years experience using an object-oriented language such as C#, C++, or Java.
· 2+ years experience with C#
· Development experience with Canada Post’s Retail Point of Sale System (ROSS)
· In-depth knowledge of system development lifecycle principles and object oriented programming.
· Experience with iterative / agile development methodologies
· Demonstrated track record of being able to design and develop software for scalability and performance
· Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
· Expertise in developing high-level and detail design specifications (UML)
· Bachelor's Degree (CS or MIS Preferred) or equivalent experience
· Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize workload
Nice to have skills
· Experience with porting visual basic code to C# is a definite plus
· Retail point of sale experience
