Data Input Clerk, Child Care Information

Union/Management:
Full time, union position

Salary:
$14.86 to 17.01 / hour

Qualifications:

· High School Graduation Diploma

· Previous experience in data entry an asset

· Knowledge of inputting field recorded data and other computer programs compatible with what is current in the software industry as well as what is being used at the agency

· Ability to work in both English and French

· Ability to organize and prioritize work

· Ability to work as a team member

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline in a cooperative manner

· Pleasant, efficient telephone manner

Duties:
· Examining documents prior to data input to ensure recorded information is complete and correct.

· Inputting field recorded data on a computer terminal in an efficient and accurate manner.

· Maintaining the sequence of source documents by batch control.

· Verifying keyed data as required and re-entering corrected information

· Handling customer telephone inquiries relating to data entry responsibilities and working in cooperation with other staff of the department.

· Preparing monthly statistical reports regarding number of applicants in system.

· Participating in staff meetings and agency activities as required.

· Maintaining up-to-date computer knowledge and other administrative qualifications as required by the job.

Hours of Work:
35 hrs / week
